Vintage Signed Abstract Blue Studio Pottery Platter 10.5"

A striking vintage studio pottery platter featuring an expressive abstract glaze composition in deep cobalt blue, teal, pale blue-gray, ochre, cream and dark brown. The substantial ceramic platter has a shallow profile, defined rim and exposed speckled clay underside with visible forming marks. The underside bears a bold stylized artist's signature or mark appearing to read “Moni” or “Mon”; research has not established the artist's identity. Displayed upright, the painterly geometric glaze design reads almost like abstract artwork, making this an especially appealing piece for a shelf, console, credenza or collected pottery display. Its rich blues and earthy accents work beautifully with eclectic, organic modern, modernist and collected-vintage interiors.
