Antique 1931 La Petite Electric Washer Enamel Tub Laundry Advertising

A wonderfully graphic survivor from the early days of compact home appliances, this red enameled metal tub is from a La Petite electric washer introduced by Enpeeco Appliance Corporation of Chicago in 1931. Period trade advertising promoted La Petite as a lightweight apartment washer, while the colorful original decal on this example reads “Petite Electric Washer — For Your Personal Fineries.” The washing mechanism and other original components are no longer present, leaving the handled enamel tub/body as a decorative collectible. Its bright red finish, period typography and laundry-line illustration make it especially fun for a laundry room, vintage advertising collection, prop display or early-appliance collection.
