This substantial vintage Mexican lidded ginger jar or decorative urn features a hand-painted rooster surrounded by exuberant floral, foliate, and geometric motifs. Likely dating to the late 20th century, the earthenware vessel has a creamy crackle-glazed ground accented in deep green, blue-gray, yellow, orange, burgundy, and black. Its domed lid, sculpted finial, and lively folk-art decoration make it a striking focal point for a mantel, entry console, bookcase, or collected global interior.

CONDITION
Good vintage condition. Minor variations in the painted decoration and glaze are consistent with hand-finished ceramic production. For decorative use only; food safety has not been tested.
