Collectible, hand-carved soapstone sculpture of a buffalo or bison, famously produced by Inuit artists from Iqaluit, in the Nunavut region of Canada. It is carved from highly desirable green soapstone or serpentine, creating a polished, marbled appearance. The sculpture has the natural fissures and inclusions found in soapstone.
