Unlined copper bowl designed to whip egg whites to frothy peaks. Copper is the ideal material as it reacts naturally (and harmlessly) with the whites, making them more stable when beaten so they almost triple in volume. Copper is also preferred for melting chocolate and/or sugar. The rounded bottom allows your whisk to reach every part of the bowl. It has a rolled rim and a riveted ring for use as thumb grip or for hanging. This bowl is a great tool in the kitchen and beautiful to display. Made in England. Wear consistent with age and use.
