A beautifully crafted four-drawer chest by Banks, Coldstone Co. of High Point, North Carolina, dating to the late 20th century. Designed in the Georgian and Chippendale tradition, the chest showcases richly figured tiger/flame-grain wood, elegant brass hardware and traditional detailing inspired by period English furniture. A working key is included, and each of the four drawers locks independently. Its compact proportions make it especially versatile as a bedroom chest, entryway statement piece, linen chest or storage piece in a living or dining room. The dramatic figured grain adds warmth and movement while the classic form works beautifully in Traditional, English Country, Grandmillennial and collected interiors.
