Theresianthal is a historic German glass manufacturer creating luxury crystal since 1836. Located in the Bavarian Forest, it is world renowned for its glass blowing and each piece is a handcrafted work of art. The pumpkin decanter/carafe is one of their most well know pieces. The pumpkin shape is achieved by casting the molten glass in a four-part metal mold with eight oval openings, giving it an organic, rounded silhouette. Though designed for wine or water, the beautiful fire-polished glass makes it highly popular as a decorative vase. The carafe is preloved and has the etched Crown mark on the base, c.late 20th century. It is lightly tinted in Theresienthal's Ancient Green color. Minimal wear consistent with age and use.
