Dr. Eyad Al-Masri Monumental 39" Carved Wood Mixed Media Painting (2006)

Experience the spirit of the Middle East through this authentic original painting by the highly respected Jordanian artist and archaeology professor, Dr. Eyad Al-Masri. This impressive 39-inch circular masterwork masterfully blends canvas and sculpture, featuring lines deeply carved into a prepared stucco and wood surface to provide a tactile, three-dimensional element reminiscent of ancient inscriptions. The rich, multi-panel mosaic design incorporates stylized historic faces and icons inspired by regional heritages including Nabataean, Sumerian, and Mesopotamian cultures. Rendered in a stunning color palette of warm earth tones, sienna, and subtle bold undertones, this commanding piece serves as a monumental focal point for homes with character.
