Vintage lounge chair created by the renowned McGuire Furniture Co. in San Francisco. c.1980's. This sculptural chair features bent rattan poles twisted together resembling rope forming the gracefully curved back and arms The rattan frame is lashed together with leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. The chair seat and back have loose cushions upholstered in a taupe microsuede. The seat cushion has some staining and is discolored on the sides and the top where the seat back cushion and rattan have covered the fabric. The chair frame is handcrafted and in good condition. Since rattan is a natural material and can subtly shift over time, the chair is not totally symmetrical which adds to its organic charm and uniqueness.
