Antique Middletown Plate Co Quadruple Silverplate Revolving Cruet Stand

An antique Middletown Plate Co. revolving cruet or castor stand in quadruple silver plate, made to hold six condiment bottles or jars. The circular carrier rotates freely around the center post and is finished with engraved floral and geometric decoration characteristic of late-19th-century Victorian tableware. The tall openwork handle gives the piece an especially sculptural profile. Display it as a decorative piece of Victorian silverplate, use it to hold appropriately sized replacement bottles, or incorporate it into a collected tabletop or bar display. The six openings measure approximately 1-7/8" in diameter.
