Rare find, very few pieces available in the "Ecrans" pattern reflecting the Japonisme Movement where Western culture developed a fascination with and incorporated elements of Japanese art, design, and aesthetics. The bowl has the blue K&G backstamp which dates to 1892 and was produced in Luneville, France. Vibrant blues and oranges on a cream field, with delicate gold accents, showcase a different Japanese scene on each side. The scalloped rim is edged with deep orange brush strokes.
