An ornate late-19th-century Victorian tilting kettle by Derby Silver Company, marked with the company's anchor-and-crown trademark, QUADRUPLE PLATE and pattern number 1675. The silver-plated kettle features an elaborate foliate spout, decorative applied details, hinged lid and side pivots, accompanied by its period-style warming stand and removable spirit burner. Originally designed to suspend the kettle above the burner so it could tilt forward for pouring while keeping the contents warm, this surviving set is being sold as an incomplete restoration or display piece. Its sculptural Victorian form and substantial ornamentation make it an appealing piece of antique American silverplate even in its present condition.
