Fostoria spooner features gold accents on a footed crystal base. In the early-to-mid 20th century, knives and forks were usually kept in a drawer, whereas spoons would be displayed in spooners on the table or sideboard. Today they are mainly decorative and used for toothpicks, candles, or small items. This lovely art deco spooner in the "Wedding Bell" pattern was made by Fostoria in the USA.
