Charming 25cm(etched on the side), rustic tureen with distinctive shell-shaped handles and a gorgeous patina. Terracotta/redware tureens were/are commonly used for preparing pate, cassoulet, or other regional French stews which need to be cooked slowly over low heat. Its condition is well loved, reflected in the chips, cracks, and the mellow color which only age and use can produce.
