Antique Victorian, handcrafted barley twist accent table. The table features a square top with a decorative rope-carved edge and a removable marble top which adds to the stability and design options. It has splayed barley twist legs and diagonal stretchers that are anchored by an egg-shaped finial. Charming, honey-dipper feet complete the design. c.late 19th-early 20th century. The table is somewhat unsteady which may be helped by regluing or reinforcing the leg joints. Would suggest felt pads or bumpers for the marble top. Wear and patina consistent with age and use.
