You can see the hand-chiseled marks and the excellent craftsmanship of this sculptural, dark wood stool. Created from a single piece of wood, it has a round, concave seat supported by 3 arched legs. The stool is from the early 20th century and possibly earlier. It is most often associated with either the Gurage or Oromo Peoples of Ethiopia and typically used by the elders of the tribe.
