Large, very heavy (about 30lbs) brass and copper brazier dates back to the 19th century when it was used as portable heater. The brazier make a fabulous planter or centerpiece. Fill it with moss, wood, or glass ornamental balls; or anything that comes to your imagination, to create a fabulous tablescape. Handcrafted, it features a fluted brass base with cast, hairy-paw feet. The separate copper and brass liner has scalloped handles so that it can be easily lifted from the base. This is an antique and shows heavy wear and the gorgeous patina and craftsmanship you expect from a piece of this age and use. Please refer to photos as they are part of the description.
